This stronghold was built to defend the Bridge of Blood, the only passageway between the Larkspur mountains and the Dark Woods for hundreds of miles. Lord Horvath’s family has defended this dangerous choke-point for centuries. The great ravine is hundreds of feet deep with a torrent of a river pouring into the sea making the bridge the easiest way to do trade between the two regions. Horvath charges a heavy toll to pass the bridge.
